Welcome to my first blog post for Sweets & Treats by Kelsey. As some of you may know, I have been baking and cooking for quite some time, but it wasn't until recently that I decided to start selling my creations! I am loving every minute of it. I am going to catch y'all up on things I have made recently and from now on you and my Facebook followers will be the first to see what is in the works for my next project. :)
My first big order was my festive Christmas popcorn which I made for Second Baptist Church. I made 15 bowls which was quite the challenge but they came out great! The smaller bags were for someone to pass out to co-workers during Christmas which was also a great idea! These can also be made for any occasion by simply switching out the m&ms. Perfect for a cute Valentine's treat!
Ingredients: Popcorn, White Chocolate, Sprinkles (for decoration), and M&Ms.
Price: $15 per bowl; $ 3.00 per individual bag
Next challenge, and it was a huge challenge, was a Winter themed Barbie for a little girls birthday. I did my aunt Laura's famous white cake with buttercream icing (to die for!) and added extra cupcakes that formed a snowflake.

My most recent task was a cake for my friend's 25th birthday. I did a silver and white cake and it turned out wonderful! Side note: I do not do fondant because I do not think that it tastes good and I always want to give you something that tastes good, icing and all!
